The Repercussions of Blogging [slashdot.org]

hende_jman writes "How much should you be allowed to say in a public blog? There's an article on CNN that looks at different situations in which people have been fired for blogging about their company. The main issue brought seems not to be one of a lack of trust (blogs, after all, are most often public), but rather a lack of policy outlining repercussions for negative blogging about one's company."

Palm resources (toys)

I just found this today, I guess I googled differently this time around..

His list of useful software is, well, useful! I already think DateBk4 [gorilla-haven.org] (now DateBk5) is the best calendar application for PalmOS ever – I love that thing.

I knew vaguely about Keyring [gnukeyring.sourceforge.net], but once I checked it out, WOW!

Holy Fast, Batman! (toys)

The newest release candidate for Mozilla Firefox 0.9 is out, and it’s FAST. I’ve been using this browser for awhile now, I couldn’t do without it – my one gripe has been that the load time in linux has been noticably slow. But no more. This puppy is quick!

Microsoft PR: Looking Under The Hood [slashdot.org]

mtr writes “An interesting article uncovering some embarassing and amusing PR practices of our friendly software giant had been recently published by Michael Zalewski. The author recovered change tracking information from all the DOCs published on microsoft.com, and came up with something to cheer you up. It’s funny when it happens to others – but even better if it fires back on themselves. Read the full story here.”
